He is often also accompanied by a further Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitter, who is also an SMS course lecturer and Assessor (City and Guilds approved).  An appreciation of various dental issues is provided by a qualified Equine Dental Technician (although students are not taught to perform any actual dental procedures).   A qualified farrier covers essential aspects of this important equine topic.
