As previously stated, the study requirement outside of tutorial weekends is substantial. Various academic assignments are required to be completed throughout the course, together with the production of a significant project on diseases and an overall course dissertation. Students are also required to have local access to a variety of horses, for the practise of skills taught. This element is formally recorded by the student, and subsequently assessed on an ongoing basis by the College. The OCEPT course requires commitment, dedication, persistence, and initiative. Family backing and understanding is also essential, given both the financial and time implications.
