Students meet for tutorials on one full weekend each calendar month, for intensive academic and practical ‘hands on’ sessions. There is also a one day visit to the Bristol Veterinary College Equine Unit, and a visit to the Hartpury Equine College Therapy Unit.

The study requirement outside of tutorial weekends is substantial, comprising:

o Formally recorded and assessed hours of practice of all psychomotor skills taught.
|
|
o Various academic assignments, together with the production of a significant project on diseases and an overall course dissertation.
|
|
o OCEPT approved (student sourced) equestrian yard fieldwork placement.
